There are days when everything seems to come crashing down at my feet, leaving me wanting to throw in the towel and curl up with a good book instead of forging ahead through the challenges. Oh, there are days…
That is all part of the roller coaster that we call life.
We get hurt. We hurt others. We apologize. We forgive. We cry. We laugh. We dream. We fail. We do our best, but sometimes our best isn’t good enough. We get back up, dust ourselves off, and keep going, even when we want nothing more than to lie down and rest for a while. We press forward in the face of trials, opposition, and voices (including our own) that tell us that we are never going to make it.
That is the nature of the human spirit.
I love this poem:
Those are powerful words…words that I needed to hear this week.
For those of you who may have had a frustrating week like mine…hang in there with your determined souls. Remember that you are stronger than you think, and that there is always hope for brighter days ahead. Take a minute to ponder the following words from Jenkin Lloyd Jones:
For today, I am thankful for the ride…delays, sidetracks, frustrations, and all.
