We are not perfect, we do not understand everything, but we are striving to lift and sustain each other as we walk the steep path back to Him. Will you stand with us?
Before you decide, let me tell you a little about myself.
Since 2014, I have been blogging and sharing my thoughts about motherhood, parenting, and faith. In 2018, I was certified as a Leadership Parenting Coach and, from that point on, spent a majority of my time teaching parents how to raise capable and confident kids.
But in early 2021, I felt like I was drowning. I had a busy church calling, a new parenting business that required most of my time, and an array of intense personal challenges. Meanwhile, social and political unrest were escalating as an unrelenting pandemic ravaged the world.
Amid the struggles, the word stand played on repeat in my mind. While I learned to navigate the tumultuous waters of my life without crumbling into a heap of overwhelm, I felt the stirrings to help other women do the same. The practical and spiritual tools that were transforming my life were too valuable to keep to myself.
Then, several months later, the global unrest made its way into the church. Within a matter of weeks, both President Nelson and Elder Holland said things that caused a great uproar among some members. Their names were dragged through the mud and the controversy was intense, testing the faith of many.
Those events weighed heavy on my heart. I love both President Nelson and Elder Holland, and I could scarcely handle watching their names defamed. It no longer felt safe to publicly support the Brethren, lest you be attacked by other angry church members. With so much division and contention, I wondered what the future of the church would look like.
One day, I poured out my concerns to the Lord in a messy and haphazard way. At the end of my 30-minute prayer, in a moment of intense clarity that came directly from Heaven, I knew why the word stand had been my constant companion for months. It was a call to help other women fortify their faith, stand with the prophet, prepare themselves and their families for the intensity of the coming days, and share their light with the world.
I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ more than anything. Gathering and strengthening women of faith is a dream come true for me.

Our Manifesto: Covenant Women Who Stand
We are covenant women who stand. We stand, armed with the Light of Christ, the Light of Preparation, the Light of our Covenants, the Light of Truth, the Light of Humility, and the Light of Each Other. Our individual and collective light gives us the courage to arise and shine forth through the darkness and confusion that gather around us.
We stand with our eyes on the horizon, looking steadfastly toward the day when the Savior will come again and preparing ourselves and our families for that time. Though the world is and will continue to be in commotion, we cling to the Lord’s promise to pour out His Spirit upon His handmaids in the days preceding the Second Coming – our days. (Joel 2:29). We feel the truth of that promise as we faithfully seek to hear Him, and He, in turn, speaks to our minds and hearts.
We strive to stand in holy places and be not moved (D&C 87:8). In doing so, we learn to let the world go and seek for the things of a better. (D&C 25:10) As we loosen our grip on the world and strengthen our relationship with Christ, we can better find peace, confidence, and joy despite the intensifying storm.
Though we are learning line upon line and do not have all the answers to today’s complex questions, we stand with God’s ordained prophets, seers, and revelators. We believe the Lord reveals His secrets to His servants, the prophets, and, therefore, it is wise to follow their lead. (Amos 3:7) When we have questions about prophetic counsel, we choose to take our concerns to the Lord with faith that He will bless us with further understanding and light.
Because we are working to be steadfast, immovable, and firm in a world of shifting values, we seek to gain a bedrock understanding of the doctrine of Christ. As our understanding deepens, so does our ability to detect deception, raise a sin-resistant generation, access the power of God through our covenants, and express our beliefs with confidence and compassion. We stand in a world of contention without contending. Conflict is inevitable; contention is a choice, and we choose charity instead: charity for those who struggle in any capacity, for those whose testimonies are solid, and for those whom the Lord has called to lead us through this tumultuous time.
We believe practicality and spirituality are inextricably connected because all things are spiritual unto the Lord (D&C 29:34). Therefore, we strive to establish and maintain habits that support our minds, bodies, and spirits. With supportive patterns in place, we feel more grounded, allowing us to stand more firmly and joyfully against life’s storms.
Come as you are, and stand with us. We can accomplish infinitely more together than we possibly could alone. Together, we can lift each other to higher ground until we all stand firmly on the covenant path. And then, like a city set on a hill, our collective light will be a beacon for the world.

- I have been married to my husband, Greg, for 25 years. Together, we have five kids between the ages of 13-23 and a new daughter-in-law.
- I am a Certified Leadership Parenting Coach with a passion for helping parents raise kids into confident and competent young adults. I am putting that work on hold for a bit so I can focus on strengthening women of faith. But you can still find LOTS of parenting content on the blog and in the archives.
- I hate being cold and love the sunshine. Living in Arizona suits me well.
- I enjoy cooking and eating. A fridge full of fresh ingredients is strangely exciting to me.
- I am a morning person through and through. I am good for nothing after 9:00 pm.
- Being outside is food for my soul. I prefer the beach but, since Arizona is not on the coast, hiking has become one of my favorite pastimes.
- My mind is constantly swimming with half-formed thoughts and ideas. Sometimes, I wish I could turn off the mental chaos, but it is my constant companion.
- I believe in chocolate, forever and ever, amen.
- I am a bit on the silly side, for better or worse.
- I have a bad case of wanderlust. I want to visit ALL the places. But, at this point, Greg’s solo pediatric dental practice doesn’t allow for much travel. Someday!
